Knowledge is now an aspect that all businesses have to take into consideration. Becoming the key of success every small business owners, entrepreneurs, executives and managers have to keep up with information in a way or in another to stay competitive. That¡s why knowledge worker were introduced in today¡s businesses. We can ask ourselves what is a knowledge worker; according to my own interpretation, I would define it as being anyone who uses technology and information in any way to help a company, being more competitive and aware of the need and the demand of the moment, which is fundamental for a business.
             In most of the companies today knowledge workers represent a big part of the workforce. Let¡s see from a business perspective what advantages does it bring:
             $ Most of the knowledge workers already telecommute, which means that they work outside of the traditional office or workplace, usually at home or in a mobile situation using wireless methods of communication to access information and to report to the business office or to interact with fellow knowledge workers. The knowledge worker usually needs only a little capital other than information to be useful, this from a business perspective is very important and enriching because it allows instant access to the needs of the customers. These new economy organizations are based on ¡§virtual integration rather than vertical integration, interdependence rather than independence and mass customization rather than mass production.¡
