For instance, the fact that most family's to loose communicating skills, which they had before television came into their lives. The above quotes show how television can cause one to not speak to each other, and possibly what they may do to one another. If there is no talking within a family, than things usually begin to fall apart, divorce can become an option, and nothing ever gets accomplished around the house or apartment. Television has the potential of limiting a family's ability to speak with one another. Nonverbal conversations almost does the same thing to the family as the television does, except with nonverbal communication has one difference, in the manor that nothing is ever asked to be done. Things begin to clutter andor put off from doing. In effect, their TV was running their lives. Interaction is a mandatory part of a family. Curran talks about how silence can make a persons lack of interest lessen, hostility, denigration, boredom, or outright war". This easily shows how a simple gift can change one's family so drastically. Probably one of the last, yet most important issues of the negativity of television is what happens when nonverbal conversations begin to happen. Their TV became like a god, which they obeyed and listened to. American familys' get a variety things through TV; for instance the information above is some of the stronger reasons why TV is an extremely negative thing to be entertained by. The family unit begins to unravel, thereby changing the home into just a house to live at and eat.
