I feel that two of the most important reasons are the choice of the standardized parts to help tailor the computer to the needs of the end user and the ease of upgrading a custom built PC to keep up with the latest technology. In contrast, a proprietary system is designed for a vast number of users with no real specific need in mind. Upgrading a custom built PC can be a great way to help keep up with the latest technology and the changing needs of the end user. These items will make the quality of the picture better and help create a more fluent, life like environment.
