Communism Versus Democracy
Every country needs to have a stable and effective government in order to form a prosperous and peaceful society. Due to the fact that each country has different culture and ways of living, people's opinion on political system may vary: some people find one type of government system suitable for the society they belong to while others may prefer a different type because it gives them better living standard in one way or the other. Long ago, humans started to choose leaders for the protection and development of their regions. This system has still been preserved till the present day that people choose a representative or a leader in the hope that they would lead their hometown into better directions. The two major types of political systems this paper will cover are Democracy and Communism. Despite their differences, both systems seek ways to help improve and reform a society. To fully understand the aspects and principles of both systems, it would be wise to acknowledge the advantages and disadvantages of each system so that we can comprehend why one system become so popular while the other collapse. The communist believed that there will be no war over religion and race once they find an effective way to end religious practices. This form of government in which rulers are the absolute power like this is also called "authoritarianism" It may sound like a harsh control system that give people very limited freedom to vote or choose the leaders they favor, but in reality it help liquidate rebellion and any form of violent protest. Also, the issue of unemployment rate never been a problem for countries under communism because the government manage to provide the majority of the people with jobs. Democracy is not designed for efficiency, but for accountability; a democratic government may not be able to act as quickly as a dictatorship or other communist nations, but once the ideas or courses are put into action they can be prepared and finished effectively to give the majority of the people what they demand. Democracy is hard, perhaps the most complex and difficult of all forms of government. This right is sometimes also known as religious tolerance, which means to accept the right of other people to freely follow any religion without any impediment. The reasons why democracy works very well in many societies are much attributable to the concept of the "free market" or Capitalism that allow people and the economic system to acquire profit through investment of capital and employment of labor. Corruption is also a major issue of an unstable government. Other benefits to communism in regard to this aspect also include cheap housing, children day care, public transportation and recreation. However in modern usage, communism sometimes refer to the movement that aim to overthrow the capitalist order by revolutionary or mass protest. People fail to realize the fact that education is the factor that determine one's class rather than money. The following will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of communism. 1b) Freedom of religion: This right includes freedom to change one's religion or belief, either alone or in community with others and in public or private.
