The movie we watched in class about the biologist Charles Darwin was indeed more interesting than most of the films I have viewed in a Science course. I found it to be quite entertaining when they switched back and fourth between past and present. The
actors that portrayed the characters necessary in Charles’ life, such as Emma, his wife,
did a very nice job and the time period was portrayed effectively.
When I was watching the movie I felt more like I was enjoying what I was watching, not just paying attention for a future class discussion or quiz. It was fascinating to listen to the different people they had analyze Darwin and his motives, to hear their viewpoints and compare and contrast my own with theirs. I parti

Once you think about it, it really is quite amazing that Darwin came up with this way of thinking: Sure, it makes sense to us now…but who in the world would have thought of that THEN? Such thinking capabilities I admire, as it is sometimes hard to "think outside the box". Dinosaurs for an example could have been one of Gods experiments. Overall, I thought that the movie was entertaining and enjoyable. cularly liked that they included more about Darwin's life than his theory of evolution. I found hearing about Darwin's struggles with the church fascinating, if not bothersome because the theory of evolution and my religion is something I try to avoid thinking about at the same time. Slight disagreements with the church could result in charges, and great damage to social lives. As a highly religious dependant person I am shaken by such beliefs, but prefer to blend my religious ideals with that of Darwin's, taking many of his points, but not all of them, and not too far. Who wants to be associated with someone accused of treason? Darwin's theory was no small disagreement.
