My Faith, Puritan Faith

A comparison of my faith with the beliefs of the puritan would be that there is no comparison. The puritans and I both believe in God but from different aspects. The puritans live by all the laws ,but they do not believe that you reap what you sow! I believe in that theory because surely whatever you reap good or bad you will sow it. The puritans did not believe in that theory. They felt that they could go around hurting and mistreating people without any consequences.
The Puritans felt this way because they did not understand why thing would happen to them. The Puritans did not pay attention to the way they treated the Indians. Vengeance is mine saith the lord he will repay. The Indians are also God's children. He will fight their battles just as he does our battles. The puritans did look at themselves as being God's children. They saw themselves only worthy to be called His children.
The puritans never understood why they were being attacked by the Indians. They felt like it was totally uncaused for them to be treated like they were being treated. Especially in Mary Rowlandson's days she always prayed and read her bible, but she never asked for what the did to the Indians instead she just called them names. Mary Rowlandson never asked god to help her forgive the Indians or to forgive the Indians. She concentrated solely on what she had lost and how to survive it all.
The puritans just did not get it they saw God as being mean, venegeful ,and hateful .
