Abortion

             There are different views on the topic of abortion. There are pro-life people that are against it and pro-choice people who are for it. Both views on abortion can be right if presented correctly. In this paper I will state the pro-life view, pro-choice view and my belief about this controversial topic.
             One key reason women are able to choose to have an abortion is their constitutional right. All human beings are given some inalienable right guaranteed by the Constitution. One of those privileges is the right to pursue happiness. A baby can sometimes disrupt a woman's pursuit of happiness. Even if she decides to give it up for adoption, she still has the burden of carrying the fetus for nine months. Having the option to perform an abortion can solve that obstacle. Taking away this right would be invading on a woman's constitutional liberty.
             Having a child takes money, effort and time. Many women do not have even one of these traits. If abortion was illegal it would force poor women to bear and raise children they can't afford to bring up. There would be a number of unsafe abortions in back allies. It would also force women to give up their dreams and stay home to bring up babies. Worst of all, it would condemn victims of rape and incest to carry and nurture the offspring of their rapist. Abortion is necessary for women to have control over their own bodies and life.
             Even though abortion has its good side there is also a presence of its evil side.
             Religion and the Bible have a lot to do with my beliefs on abortion. Many things are in the Bible about life, murder, and abortion. One thing that the bible makes clear about abortion is that the soul of a child is present at conception. The Bible also says the God is the creator of all life, and that the purpose of human life is to worship our creator. Abortion denies this purpose.
