Hamlet

In this essay I’m going to analyze the effects and causes of revenge tragedy along the novel “Hamlet by William Shakespeare” and if it’s okay to act no matter what consequences can this vengeance actions can bring. First I’m going to introduce two important key facts that are the definition of revenge and tragedy, as we know theses are two important themes that are mixed up in the novel and let express more than one character their feelings. Also I’m going to analyze what is the way of thinking of Shakespeare in the novel, and what are the purposes of him by choosing this theme and giving it an importance at the novel. At the long of this essay I’m going to show or demonstrate how the audience was also influenced by this theme and compare the point of view of the original audience of this novel with the modern audience, but also I’m going to give my point of view as one reader of this book thinks. Finally give a conclusion about if the characters of this novel act in good or bad way in respect with the revenge of their father’s murder and show what positive and negative aspects are proposed by the author throughout the novel.

Revenge (To inflict punishment in return, to seek or take vengeance, an opportunity to retaliate, somet

Tragedy (A drama or literary work in which the main character is brought to ruin or suffers extreme sorrow, especially as a consequence of a tragic flaw, moral weakness, or inability to cope with unfavorable circumstances. Tragedy basically is the consequence of over passing sometimes the revenge or the vengeance that is applied by the person, but not all the time the tragedy is because of a revenge sometimes is because some catastrophe occurs. ) that’s how he referred to his uncle Claudius.

As the novel runs by, the author informs us how the audience that is referred with the setting of the novel perceive this murders, he throughout the novel says that revenging father or any loved person is a characteristic of honor (High respect, as that shown for special merit), that’s how the original audience think about father revenge; But modern audience has a different perspective about revenge, in this days honor is put a side and the significant action is responding the same way as the enemy does. The both sons seem very affected we the murder of their fathers, they want the revenge of this act no matter what happen and what they will have to do to vengeance this tragedy, this aspect of revenging their fathers death is the one that make them have a thing in common. ", as he is informed about his father murder he a long the novel tries to prove all the other characters about his uncle’s guilt in the murder. The author states a type of theory that says to respond the same way as the person who attacks you does, but in the real world this theory is considered as a statement that is self-destructing the humanity.

In conclusion in my point of view of how Hamlet acted and how Fortinbras acted are different, because Fortinbras thought that vengeance his father murder was taking again his lands and in my opinion that is not such a revenge is more a way of demonstrating the rest of the characters that he was stronger than his father and that he would capture the lands again; But analyzing Hamlet point of view he thought in revenge by taking of his way his uncle and by respecting his father and taking off his mother of the hands of a satyr. The prince is informed by the ghost that his uncle Claudius was the one in charge of killing his father and now he has to pay for it "The serpent that did sting thy father's life now wears his crown. The second character is Fortinbras (Prince of Norway, is the son of King Fortinbras); King Fortinbras was killed by King Hamlet in a battle man to man.

Revenge at the epoch they were living was an act of honor for the son and the family.

The prince of Denmark the young Hamlet son of King Hamlet wants to revenge his father death no matter what he has to do and what persons have to die to honor his father. "Now sir, young Fortinbras…as it doth well appear unto our state-but to recover of us, by strong hand and terms compulsative, those foresaid lands so by his father lost…". Claudius then is informed that prince of Norway the son of King Fortinbras is thinking about attacking Denmark to honor his father, he Claudius decides to stop that attack no matter how so he send a messenger to talk with Fortinbras uncle a tell him not to attack Denmark and if he wants to attack it to attack somewhere else. A disastrous event, especially one involving distressing loss or injury to life).
