Life is Like a Toenail

             Every raindrop has a plan; God created each raindrop for a particular purpose. One drop may fall on a flower, one in the middle of a desert, and one might even turn into a snowflake and land on a child's tongue. Every person has a plan; God created each person for a particular purpose. One person may be a mother or father, one might sail around the world, and one just might grow up and become a teacher and influence the hundreds of little minds he/she teaches.
             Raindrops can come in every shape and size and they can act very differently once they have let go of their mother cloud. Some raindrops are hard, violently pushing their way towards their goal. They have built up strength, repressed anger, emotions, fears, and left them bottled up for years. When they let go, they let go hard, falling faster and faster toward the ground. The only problem is that they don't enjoy the view on the way down. They are so busy concentrating on their ground objective that they don't bother to come in for a soft landing on a rose first; they head straight for the rocks. Other raindrops are tiny and trivial. Together they form a slight mist that just gets annoying if you are trying to do anything outside. They float along, not really accomplishing anything. These raindrops often go unnoticed; they are gone with one swipe of the windshield wipers. They never last long, and even if they do no one remembers, eventually they just fade away into the day. All the other raindrops fall somewhere in the middle; they are constant, faithful, and ever present. These raindrops fall slowly enough to enjoy the in-flight scenery yet they are focused enough so they don't get lost to confusion and wanderings. They get their job done yet there is something pure and rejuvenating about it. This rain is the one that replenishes; it provides nourishment and hope to them that need it most.
