News, information on current events and/or activities with people, has been around for years in several forms: radio, messengers, television, and newspapers, yet the differences and likenesses from one news source to another vary. Not only are there differences between the sources of news, but also between local and national news. For instances, comparing and contrasting the differences between a local newspapers with a national newspaper one can find several discrepancy and similarity. In the city of Tucson, there are several papers for people to purchases: Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Citizen, USA Today, and New York Times, are among the most popular papers bought; however, there are several aspects about each paper which puts them apart from each other. Another obvious difference is the weather section in each paper, the USA Today has coverage of the whole Nation with weather information, where as the Tucson Citizen, is more focused on the weather in the city of Tucson. There is countless diversity throughout each paper, ranging from small details to completely different reporting and other literature. There are a number of similarities in each paper; however, the differences out weigh the likenesses. Again, differences are many caused by the focus of each paper, and that is why one paper is a national paper, and the other a local paper. Despite the large number of newspapers available, the populace who read them can keep informed of events around the world and at home. There is much more information to know about concerning both papers and their differences and likenesses, the best way to find out is to purchase them and read them. It is easy to see why each article is on the cover of one paper to the other. In the Tucson Citizen, the cover story is about solar power, and in the USA Today, the story is about Hassan Hotari, a Palestinian suicide bomber, who killed 21 young Israelis and himself.
