Interview With A Vampire

Interview's main character is a vampire named Louis (Brad Pitt) who narrates the story of his human and inhuman lives to a small-time San Francisco reporter (Christian Slater). Louis is a Four out of five in this story for he hinges on his flourish propensity for whining. While still human in the 18th century, he loses his wife in childbirth and sinks into a passive death-wishing funk. While Louis' grief is genuine, he is also seen wallowing in melancholy over the unfairness of existence. He claims that he wants to die but then does nothing about it. Along comes veteran vampire Lestat (Tom Cruise) who offers Louis eternal death-in-life.Brad Pitt also deserves mention, because he skillfully acted an all-in-all glum role. It's never easy being the protagonist in movies in which I believe few actors could of done better. In "Interview with the Vampire" he is mostly a device to reflect the larger, more scintillating personalities of the older vampires around him. Kirsten (Kristen)

Even the most gruesome aspects are viewable, and leaves the movie a masterpiece of art. Dunnst has secured a future as an actress by her portrayal of Claudia. The tale of guy Louis, who is lured by Lestat into immortality of the damned, then tormented by an unalterable fact of vampire life: to survive, he must kill. Interview with a Vampire which is the depiction of a vampire's history and his emotional evolution in witch gave it it's beauty for it's insight. I've seen many lukewarm reviews of major (and lucrative) efforts by major studios, and "Interview with the Vampire" is no exception. In fact, in this film you actually care about the characters, making the film more interesting than your average vampire fare. This is a film I would recommend to all audiences; for vampire lovers, fans of Anne Rice, or just movie fans that enjoy a well made movie flick. In "Frankenstein," one feels disgusted, tense and uncomfortable at the squalor, which aid's the film. You won't find yourself thinking, "Wow, what good computer animation. Of the people I know, most of us thought this movie to be bad. But I believe their assessment of Anne Rice's style and following was not understood. This movie was made with feeling, and left me with the feeling to wish it were only longer.
