Is This the same Genre
Two musicians and their songs that have nothing to do with each other come from the same genre. 50 Cent and Public Enemy send messages through their music to get a certain point across or to tell about something. Both of the artists have different musicianship to get their point or story across. In both songs the same words are used and have the same meaning to them. Even though the songs "In da Club" and "1 Million Bottlebags" are from the same genre "Hip Pop," they are very different as well as very much alike. The message that "In da Club" sends is a very brief summary of the lifestyle of 50 Cent and the message that "1 Million Bottlebags" sends is that alcohol is bad. The musicianship that 50 Cent uses, is to rap about certain events that happen throughout his life and Public Enemy's musicianship is to attack the government about alcohol; both rappers throughout their songs use derogatory words. These two songs talk about events or an event that reflect on the rapper's life, but one is a different kind of reflection. 50 Cent reflects that people like him now because he hangs out with famous rappers Dr. Dre and Eminem. For instance, "I fuck with Dre, now they want to show me love, when you se
When artists wants people to listen to their music they need to know how they are going to perform it in order to make it sound and look good. He says in his music that even though certain things have changed, as for becoming rich, he is still the same person. Public Enemy suggests that the government is mad because the group sees what is going on with where the distribution of certain alcohol is going and the group is exposing this information in their music. In his song he raps about sex, drugs and drinking which most young listeners want to hear. As for Public Enemy, they don't only use the same word, but address a man by the name. ll like Eminem, and the hoes they wanna fuck" (Cent). Most of the artists that are from a certain genre will more than likely use a lot of similar words in their music as other artists from the same genre. Dre and Eminem, people come up to him because he is with two powerful men in hip pop. 50 Cent raps, "But homie ain't nothing change hoes down G's up I see Xzibit in the cut that nigga roll the weed up". For example some of the lyrics about people who sell alcohol are, "He's just a slave to the bottle and the can 'Cause that's his man the malt liquor man[ . Public Enemy raps, "Shorty about seventeen lookin' like 40 treats his 40 dog better than his g when he gets a big b-o-t-t-l-e oh he loves tha liquor but look watch shorty get sicker year after year". Just because these musicians are from the same genre doesn't necessarily mean everything they talk about or how they say will be the same. Public Enemy however takes a different approach on getting people to listen to their music.
