In modern times the word Supernatural is used frequently, in the media. No one is quite certain if supernatural forces do occur. People are very intrigued by things they can't explain. There are many so-called haunted places, where the dead are still in existence. Is this possible? Do the dead still remain in this world? No one for certain knows whether or not the supernatural exists.
             In some cases the idea of something supernatural can be used to grab people's attention. The media for instance, uses these supernatural ideas to grab viewer's attention by creating shows or articles. I am not sure whether some are true or not, but I am sure some of it is staged. On MTV there is one show called, "Fear", a new show which is viewed by many people. "Fear" is a show where people are given tasks which include going into creepy places alone which could possibly be haunted. Is this show for real or is it staged?
             There are also other shows which include the supernatural. One of them being a show which introduces its viewers to a couple of possible haunted houses. In this show, they give background information of the houses and possible incidents that occurred. They even have the eyewitnesses interviewed. Again is this show staged or are there really supernatural things out there?
             There is also a TV series called Charmed which is fiction. There are three characters who are sisters as well as witches. They have special capabilities/powers that they use to fight off demons or other evil beings. This is a clear example of how the media uses a supernatural theme to grab viewers' attention.
             In the back of most people's minds there is always the thought that supernatural does occur. Some people may not believe it, however they know there is always a possibility. People often ask the question, "what if?" which leaves open minds to the possibilities of supernatural.
