             In today's technological society it is very uncommon for a household to not have
             a Personal Computer. In addition, it is almost impossible for a person to not have direct
             or indirect contact with a computer throughout their daily lives. This is because so many
             objects and situations that we encounter on a daily basis involve computers that we take
             them for granted or forget they are around. Due to the rising amount of computers around
             the world, people must realize that our privacy is at stake due to the use of the Internet
             and the home computer. The use of Internet and home computers has now put peoples
             privacy in danger due to hacking of systems, and distributed viruses, as well as the many
             types of fraud (credit card, service etc). These are the contributing factors to people's
             One of the main reasons that people who use computers have their privacy put in
             danger is the threat of hackers. A hacker is "one who illegally gains access to or enters
             another's electronic system to obtain secret information or steal money" (Lexico LLC,
             Internet Source #1). These hackers break through the firewalls, cookies, and passwords
             that protect individual's personal information and take control of information that is not
             theirs. These people are incredibly "computer smart" and are able to bypass many of the
             encryption codes and passwords that are used to keep personal data safe. In a small
             survey in America on "Firewall" issues it is shown that 44% of those surveyed stated that
             their Internet sites or network systems have been entered by non-members without proper
             access (Sougatta Mukherjee, Internet Source #2). These "hackers" use tools such as "IP
