To Live is to Love

Love is a word with many definitions. Webster defines love as, “A strong feeling of attraction resulting from sexual desire, enthusiasm or fondness.” It is simply too complex for humans to understand through words. The only way a human can possibly understand love is to have been in love at one point in time. To most, love is a noun, but to me love is a verb. In order to realize what true love is, it has to be displayed through actions. There are many different kinds of love such as family love, love between friends, and romantic love.

To me, love is not just a feeling, but it is the way that people treat the ones they care for. People should treat the ones they love so considerately. Love, in my eyes, is making that sacrifice for someone, knowing that it might be regretful sooner or later. Love is how a person makes another person feel when they are in their presence. Family love is said to be blind, it shows that love can be shown to anyone no matter the condition. A close bond between two people can begin with a friendship. When a person finally finds the love he or she has been looking for, that person cannot imagine life with anybody else.

Most people take love for granted and then worry about it always being there when they need it the most. Of course, we all know about the good times, hard times, and times we have as a family, but no matter what the situations are within the family, love is an important part. It is not romantic love, but this type of love still connects people. In our lives and the lives of others, love is there. Whether it is a friendship between two guys, two girls, or one male and one female, these friendships can develop into love. Time may change many things, but feelings and emotions are a part of that which remains constant

. True love is exhilarating, confusing, emotional, exhausting, and full of give and take. Friends may fight or move to other areas, but friends who love one another will always have that connection they once shared.

Love is a great thing that should be treasured forever and valued as an important part in a persons life because it will effect all relationships, romantic or not.

To simply write a definition of love is complicated because every person has a different perception of love. Love has not changed at all over the course of history, and this makes it the most important emotion anyone can have.
