Communism vs Democracy in America

Communism in Cuba vs. Democracy in AmericaCuba's communist government is an original system of society, quite different from our democracy in many ways. While total democracy is not widely spread, many forms of it are prosperous throughout the world today. One of the first and major differences between a Communist and Democratic government is their contrary economic systems. In a communist government, the community owns the major resources and means of production. The goal of such a system is to prevent any one person or group of people from becoming rich, while others are extremely poor. The system attempts to eliminate lower class by balancing the wealth between rich and poor, therefore giving everyone equal pay and ownership. Unfortunately, this results in an increased lower class. In the Democracy of the United States free enterprising is permitted, and encouraged. Here, free enterprising helps the economy to flourish. People can organize their own businesses and receive their own profits if it succeeds, or debts if it fails. In this system, the harder a person works, the more money they receive, allowing them to make their living. The downside to democracy is that people can get a high paying job through education, b


The Soviet Union for many years provided Cuba with an estimated 5 billion dollars annually in economic assistance. President Kennedy ordered an air and sea "quarantine" of Cuba to prevent shipment of arms to Fidel Castro. The first type of government in America was based primarily on state government. The Soviet Union continued to pour money and goods into Cuba. Cuban nationals employed by tourist industries may be paid in dollars and are allowed to shop in the dollar stores usually reserved for foreign tourists. By far the Cuban Missile Crisis was the world's closest approach to nuclear war. On April 17 of that year, anti-Castro exiles supported and trained by the United States government, landed an invasion force in the Bay of Pigs in southern Cuba. missiles in Turkey were quietly removed. The United States also supported an unsuccessful attempt by Cuban exiles to overthrow Castro in 1961. 3 billion in part due to lower world prices. nuclear missiles are withdrawn from Turkey. Castro aimed to centralize the control of the economy. broke off diplomatic relations with Cuba in 1961 and imposed a trade and financial embargo in 1962. Since communism is the only legal political party, those who do not agree with these ideals are not looked upon favorably.
