Water purification system.
The water purification plant company that I am working for has shipped water purification plants which have included deficient parts to a customer in a developing country. My company colleagues and supervisors falsified the test records of the plants so that the customer couldn't detect the deficient of their product. The customer needs the plant as soon as possible. Therefore, if the company delays in delivery of the plants, the customer's country will have severe water shortage problem. As a result, there will be serious a legal consequences to our company and people who were involved in and I might lose my job. If I just stand back and do nothing about this issue, the deficient water plant will produce unpurified water. Consequently, the people of developing country who drink that water could be in illness and even death. In terms of identifying moral reasons and values, the both parties are involved closely with our company and civilians of developing country. I need to analyze my colleagues and supervisors by starting to look at th
However, this should be much less than we would have to pay if they find out our deception and ignorance. The recommended course of action for the company is to request a recall of their product from their developing country. Finally, they violated "Avoid harm to others". If the people of developing country drink the water which was purified by our defect water purification plant, they will get sick and could even reach to death. Why they didn't sell it to developed country such as England, Sweden or Japan? They probably thought that technology of developing country is very weak; therefore; even if our company falsified the test record, the scientists of developing country would be difficult to prove their hidden records. What if the people who drink the water, are purified by their defective water plant, are their family or relatives? Our company colleagues and supervisors wouldn't take action like that. Therefore, if we fix this problem right now, our company will have long term benefits. First of all, they violated "Be honesty and trustworthy". Second of all, they violated "Be fair and take action not to discriminate". They didn't mention about their deficient parts in the water purification plants when they made contract. About seventy percent of our body is water. The recommended course of action for me is I have to convince my top level manager. Then, the company must promise them to ship a perfect condition of the water purification plants as soon as possible and pay them reasonable amount to purchase shortage of water from neighbor country until the new product will be shipped to their country. As a result, if the scientists of developing country prove that this disaster is caused by our deficient parts in water plants, our company will have serious law suit. They simply ignored developing country people.
