A Story One Will Love Forever

             Now if one was to write a moving book about the unconditional love a parent and child share, they would not expect to see on the cover, a two-year-old demolishing the bathroom. Such is the juxtaposition in both art and text that has moved millions to buy Love You Forever. The pictures in the book are so simple but they correspond ever so deeply with the text of the story, that it is hard to misunderstand the meaning of the book. It has touched the hearts many, not only children, but adults and grandparents. Author Robert Munsch understands the conflict parents feel by their offspring over the years. Parents and children will read this book over and over again, always with a reminder of their childhood, the enduring nature of a parent's love, and the crossing of generations.
             When one was younger and it was time for bed, there was always that routine that was to be followed - eat dinner, take a bath, and read that favorite story. Over the years, the youngster goes through childhood until he becomes an adult and moves on into his world. One will remember how they always came home late, or messed up his room; the parent would get upset and scream, "This kid is driving me CRAZY!" (Munsch 3) The parent may become upset but it still has that love for the child. When they look back and think of those times they laugh. Reading a book about a parent and child brings back those special memories but always reminds one of the enduring natures of a parent's love.
             This emotional story is emphasizing the strong bond of love between parent and child. At a time in ones life, they may get in a fight with their child or vice-versa, but one fact always remains the same- that the parent no matter what will always love you.
