Comparing and Contrasting Upon the Burning of our House

All she focuses on is all her stuff she lost in the fire. She then realizes that she is grieving for all the wrong reasons. She walks around the burned remains of her house. She then thanks God for having taken all her stuff away. hat shows how she sees God as a safety blanket and not as the miracle worker he really is. She knows that she is not going to find her treasure on earth, she’s going to find her real treasure in heaven. Well, her bible may have cost her a pretty penny. Instead she is mourning the loss of materialistic goods. It seems that all she cares about was her possessions. She should be counting her lucky stars that her family is alright. She can live without her stuff but she now knows that she cannot live without God in her life. She knows that God gives everything and He can also take everything because everything in the world is His. God is what she should care about because He is more important than anything she lost in the fire.
