Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is not only a great basketball player, but also a successful businessman and endorser. He has been at the top of the basketball world for more than a decade. Nobody has dominated the sport more in the last ten years than Michael Jordan has. He is the main reason the Chicago Bulls won back-to-back-to-back championships, twice. He also sparked the Washington Wizards fans to come back and support the team when he returned to the NBA to play for them after he retired. The Bulls were in a struggle when they acquired Jordan, but his presence sparked fan attendance 87% in his rookie season. During 1984, Jordan was named co-captain of the 1984 United States Olympic basketball team. While Michael attended the University of North Carolina, he was a four-year starter on the basketball team. Jordan led the 1992 Olympic team to another gold medal; only this team had many other professionals on it and was labeled the "Dream Team. They did and he led them to the playoffs. Everyone thought that was a fluke, but Jordan proved them wrong when the Chicago Bulls became the first team in thirty years to win three consecutive NBA championships. Everyone was coming to the gym to see the rookie phenomenon play. That Olympic team won the gold medal that year (Michael Jordan 2). All was going well for Jordan until the 1985-86 season. e last ten years and his stats prove that. The Boston Celtics beat them pretty easily, but Jordan scored 49 points in the first game and 63 in the second. He started his first game as a freshman and earned the name "superman" and "last shot" when he sunk a fifteen-foot jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game to win it. Michael continued to lead the Bulls to the playoffs throughout the 90's, never winning a championship. He had a foot injury for most of the season and was sidelined. Everyone started to question his ability and criticize his inability to win a championship.
