. My mom, and dad always tell me to do well in school, and go to college, and to be something in life. Sometimes I wish I could have a tutor that can give me that extra help I need in certain subjects. I know I was not selected as one of the few students at my school to be in the program, but I think I got what it takes to be in the program, and will represent it in the most mannered way as possible. I will show respect to the others in the program along with the teachers/ advisors, and be on my best behavior. The reason why I say this is, because I have been classified as a gifted child. I always say I will be the best I can, and I do try . I do not think that a gifted child in anyway would sit, and struggle at times to keep their grades up.

My responsibilities as a participant in the upward bound program will be that I will have to be dedicated to my grades as well as to the tutoring classes I will have to attend. That’s one reason why I think that upward bound would benefit me to keep me on track, and give me the extra help I need to succeed. I will represent this program in an orderly fashion way, and will be glad to say that I’m apart of it. One day when I become successful I will be able to tell other young people what upward bound meant to me, and how it helped me to achieve my goals.
