Gay marriages

For centuries, society has antagonized things that have differed from the norm, such as women's acceptance in the work world, and interracial marriages and various other issues. As time evolves, so does society. Conventional and traditional practices, although widely popular, are not accepted by everyone. When this world tumbled onto the thought of homosexuality, we heeded it as a frivolous concept. There was something wrong. As time passed, the idea of same-sex relationships became more popular, due to natural tendencies and what have you, it was to move onto something more meaningful: marriage. Debated heatedly, the concept of gay marriage has been an important political and social topic of discussion which revolves around the foundation of our societies' ideals, the moral fabric, which is what everything is basically based upon. More and more homosexuals are seeking to be legally married, yet only a few places support it. What are the cons of letting gay marriages be legal? The essays are written in a logical tone, one that consists of examples derived from history's sociological pattern. The public can have strong opinions about gay marriages, and they are usually in favor or against it. In response, many have retaliated by attempting trials and going to court in order to be approved by the judge, based on personal reasons. Homosexuality has been against the norm for thousands of years now. They may have also homosexual family members, or lack of, which can influence their perspectives. Two of the authors are homosexual, and the other is undeclared, but we may assume he is heterosexual. Andrew Sullivan, senior editor of The New Republic and author of Virtually Normal: An Argument about Homosexuality, argues in favor of same-sex marriages in his essay called "Let Gays Marry". If it is the question of children, then there is no need to discriminate because both type of parent can raise a child well. It is meant for those who have somewhat a background knowledge regarding homosexuality and its relation in the political world. He believes that marriage is important to all humans, and if they love someone, whether it be the opposite or the same sex, the matter of marriage should be dealt with fairly. This shows there aren't really some sort of a technical deficiency in the states that haven't OK'd the concept, it is just that they haven't been convinced, and the public as a whole doesn't see homosexual marriages as being legitimate. In conclusion, this is a nationwide issue and ignorance is futile. He states, "Gay men and lesbians . In several locations this has been legalized, but in many it hasn't. He declares the reason for marriage: "At some point in our lives, some of us are lucky enough to meet the person we truly love.
