My name is -----------. I am ----------years old and was born and raise in -------------------. My family has members of different places and I think that makes it truly unique. My maternal grand-father was raise with Lebanese beliefs because of his mother’s culture witch she had to unfortunately bring from the Lebanon because of the war that was striking there. On the other side my paternal grand-mother is Chinese but married to a Mexican men. My mother had me when she was fifteen. I lived with my grand-mother for eleven years. Enjoying all kinds of foods and traditions I consider my childhood perfect. When eleven years old my mother came to American in search of the American dream and fortunately found the men of her dreams. It didn’t take me long to realize that, that was not what this country was about and that not everybody was the same. Also a couple of trophies, recognitions and scholarships. Everything was new, anything I saw I will observe and absorb.
I consider my self a very bright student. Luckily schools have those courses to give you a feel of what you think you will like. The extracurricular activities that I have enjoy the most is Tornettes (the drill team of Ball High School) and BESTT (Bridging the Educational Scene for Teachers of Tomorrow). Because I consider that teacher is the most important career in the world. I believe that if I would not had gone through that segment of my life and would not had no body to help I would not be what I am now. I as well like talking and listening to kids and teaching is going to make me fulfill that career need. Unfortunately I was not in the right side. Even though she had let me go on my own she knew when to get me back on track. But I will also love to go to a college were I could still keep on dancing and probably have a dance studio later on in life. I was in a new country with a different language and cultures. At that moment I hated her but know I thank her for grounding me as long as It took to help me.
