Art institute of Chicago
Overall reaction to Art Institute of Chicago. My visit at art institute was fabulous. This place was full of excitement and rich of history. This was my first visit to art institute of Chicago. I specifically enjoyed the miniature rooms they were magnificent. They were just like we are used to see in the classic movies. The detail of the inside of the house was great. I also found impressionist sculptures were great. But there was also one side turn of this visit. First of all the since flash photography was not allowed in the museum my pictures did not turn out good. Secondly, in the photo galleries no photography was allowed at all. Some of the employees were friendly and not so much. But the overall experience was great. In the lower level the galleries were mixture of art, journalism and record keeping. In my personal belief one artiest was really unique. I really liked one painting by chuck close. It was done on glass. The picture was of old women. Looking straight at you when you look in the glass. This really looked like someone was captured in the glass. This was really wonderful example of art. I also saw one example of journalism in a picture of a women crying. It wa
A Favorite work of sculpture: Follow the instructions as in #5, except apply to a work of sculpture. But my attention was caught by the Egyptian civilization. I like this picture because the naturalist of the picture is drawn is impressive. My next visit at the art institute of Chicago. Locate this exhibit and respond to some works from Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan, or Roman cultures. Before hand I really didn't know what to expect from the museum. I found one classic example of recordkeeping in one picture of railroads crossing town to town. Since I didn't have a good understanding about art before, after leaving the museum it made me want to learn and find out more about the arts. It showed me the way they viewed the warrior as something so special and gracious. It just showed me what art could be like even if you use the simple things around you. Inside is dark while outside is a clear sky. They display the bravery and power in their sculptures.
