The next day we went to the Statue of Liberty. The wind was whipping and the sun was bearing down upon you. The musical was so intense that almost everyone in the theater was on the edge of his/her seat. All of this, would descend upon you with a vengeance. The theater was huge and very cold. People could get to the statue from the port on Ellis Island and from there the ferry takes it's passengers to Liberty Island. Even halfway up it was still an amazing view. The following night, we went to a Broadway showing of the Phantom of theOpera. Inside therewas a massive stairwell which looked as if it could go upward forever. It was amazing how so many people had journeyedfrom other places just to come to this great nation of ours.
