Josie’s relationship with her mama is sensational. There is an issue where mama is dating a man and Josie does not understand why, but eventually she came to her senses and realised her mama had needs.
Josie does not so much have a great relationship with her Nonna and uncovers her Nonna is just a hypocrite. Life was grand when it was just the two, but when Josie became acquainted with Mr. ‘ It makes me feel I will never be part of their society and I hate that because I’m just as smart as they are. re mostly Anglo – Saxon Australians who do not seem to have a problem in the world.
Overall Josie is a likeable character with humor and is quick witted. Andretti, she took a fondness towards her father and life appeared to be enhanced. Another dilemma was her illegitimacy, people at school would gossip behind her back and she felt as though she was unrelated and unequal.
