The Life of Pi (religious story)
Religion has been at the core of many conflicts. Lives have been lost and wars fought over the basic that one's belief is better than the other. Martel's novel, The Life of Pi takes this idea and demonstrates some of the potential answers to this problem. It explains the various ideals that are among the different religions. And yet, the story shows that most religions are the same. Francis Adirubasamy's precis of Piscine Molitor Patel's story, "I have a story that will make you believe in God," offers great intrigue and automatically catches anyone's attention. Although the story can be dealt with in a lot of ways and be analyzed to death on the various topics, the statement offered by Mr. Adirubasamy defines Mr. Patel's story. To truly appreciate the importance of this statement, one must understand what meant when it was stated. To whom the statement was addressed to needs to be analyzed, because it changes the perspective on the story being told. Religion will always have a role in our society. Yann Martel's novel gives the true definition of religion, which is the simple concept of having faith. The meaning of Mr. Adirubasamy's statement can be looked in two-ways, one which is on the story itself as told by Mr. Pa

Religion is a problem but we need it in our society to function. The story can make anyone believe in God. Adirubasamy's statement one could question, was it meant for the narrator or to a wider audience?. And when I say this, I mean it on the fact that one will want to believe in God after hearing the story with the animals and the one without. But it's the faith concept that attaches a person to it. Piscine Molitor Patel, the narrator of this unique survival story. His survival on the lifeboat with a 450-pound Bengal tiger, Richard Parker does not seem unbelievable as he points out that, "Animals are territorial. Francis Adirubasamy's assessment of Mr. Patel's, "One of my father's earliest business contacts was Francis Adirubasamy.
