Asia
Asia represents much more then a geographic identity. The idea of Asia has always been portrayal by a stereotyped eye. Asia and everything within it seems to be backwards and problematic to the west, but the truth about Asia is far from it. Asia is not simply a geographic identity, nor a cultural one. In face, there is no geographic or cultural absolute. It is merely a cultural myth; dating back to the Ancient Greeks and later the Medieval Europeans, Islamic and Christians used the team "Asia" Simply to identify the three continents (Asia, Europe and Libya) apart and interpreting into its own believes. The diversity of the religion, history, tradition, language and much more within Asia, makes it relativity hard to categorise the notion of a culture absolute. As a matter of fact, the whole idea of Asia was created by the west for the west. The idea of Asia has long been stamped in the minds of the west, from the "age of exploration", periods of colonialism and now the period of modernisation, has all contribute to the notion the west is superiority, with more advance technology and civilisation (moral dimension). Awareness such as these transmitted racialist ideas, judging people on biological differences, race, nation
This flows by the problem of HIV infection rates in Asia, more then a hundred thousand are infected each year, due to poverty and lack of sex education. One problems lead to another, the need to industrialise, leads to environmental (greenhouse gas emissions one of largest contributors in the world) and health risk, due to the pollution which it creates into the atmosphere. The categorical thinking continues today, but on a much lower context. The Orientlist or the students of the west has since, classified an image of prototypical oriental, which is biological inferior and problematic. In the case of Thailand, Poverty and lack of education has forced poor girls from upcountry Thailand into a life of prostitution, the country's economic wealthier are dependent on the sex industry or sex tourism. " Asia as Europe constitutes "other". Although with the support of many western developed countries foreign aid supplies, many still tune to prostitution and other illegal trade to survive. The problems within Asia seem to be endless to the west, on the contrary, which nation are with out problems of its own? Nevertheless, the stereotype notion of Asia continues, but in the meantime, Asia needs to over come this era of globalisation, modernisation, westernisation, nationalisation expansions and many more sub-problems that follows'. These contrasts and clashes of religious and political traditions are complicated further by the economic pluralism. Such as North Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan (four tigers) and rest Asia soon followed. The problematic Asia, who need the help from the west, in many ways are relatively true, form the problems of economic, environment, to political issues within Asia, the west has "hand-in-hand served it, advice it and trained . The whole notion of Asia or the orient, is a system of thoughts, originated from the perception and assumption of the west, seeing the east as a subordinate of existence. " Political problems like human rights or communist control in Asia, lead to, civil war in Vietnam and Korea, which ended by the interference of the Americans and UN troops, or the never-ending triangle issues between Taiwan, china and the United States. The increasing notion that "Asia as one" has sprouted organisations like APAC (Asian pacific economic cooperation) thereby benefiting and responds interdependence between the Pacific Rim.
