Fashion Designer

             A Fashion designers design clothing and accessories. Some high-fashion designers are self-employed and design for individual clients. Other high-fashion designers cater to specialty stores or high-fashion department stores. These designers create original garments, as well as those that follow established fashion trends. Most fashion designers, however, work for apparel manufacturers, creating designs of men's, women's, and children's fashions for the mass market. They usually specialize in one fashion area. Another name for a fashion designer is clothing designer and apparel designer.
             A fashion designer has many tasks. The task of a fashion designer is to:
             · Study market conditions and trends
             · Identify target markets by looking at factors such as age, gender and socio-economic situation
             · Come up with ideas for designs
             · Create or update fashion designs
             · In some cases, test fabrics in order to formulate care labels for garments
             · In some cases, assisting planning production
             · Inspect the quality of garments producedmanufactured.
             · May adapt existing patterns to a new style
             · May work out how much the work will cost
             · May plan clothing production methods
             · May run their own business.
             A typical day for a fashion designer is completing a lot of his or her tasks. They would go to meetings, paper work, and design graphics on the computer, but everyday is different depending on where you work. Someday you may do more than other days. You may work on getting ready to release the line or designing graphics, it just depends on where you are in the cycle of the season.
