1. Steel Brightblade, the Gray Sorcerers and the Black Knights of Takhisis found and invaded the island of the Irda.
2. The followers of Takhisis left the island and proceeded to the main continent of Ansalon with the goal of conquering the Solamnic Knights
3. Palin Majere and his brothers met the Black Knights in battle and all but Palin died.
4. Palin was captured and put into the custody of his cousin, Steel, who was to escort him to the tower of Palanthas.
5. The Irda discovered the Graygem and broke it open. They sent Usha to Ansalon to discover the truth about her past, for the Irda had only raised her.
6. The island of the Irda is destroyed in flame as Chaos, Father of All and Nothing, is released from his prison in the Graygem.
7. Usha met Tasslehoff Burrfoot in a jail in Palanthas and quickly became friends with him. Since she the idea of Raistlin Majere, a archmage of the past, being her father, Usha and "Tas" set off to the Tower of High Sorcery where the high mages dwelt to inquire as to who her parents had been and where they had gone to.
8. Palin and Steel came to the Tower of High Sorcery at Palanthas through Shoikan Grove, Garden of undead.
9. Palin and Steel met Usha and Tas in Lord Dalamar Dark-elf's quarters.
10. Tas and Palin entered Raistlin's Laboratory and discovered a portal to the realm of the Abyss, land of the dead and found Palin's uncle, Raistlin Majere.
11. The Black Knights attacked the High Clerist's Tower, Tanis Half-elven fell in battle and the Solamnic Knights of Paladine were defeated. Steel who was expected to give his life in the battle was sent into the lower levels of the Tower and was given orders to hide while the knights were preparing to fight again.
12. The Armies of Chaos attacked the recently conquered High Clerist's Tower and obliterated all except the prisoners and those in hiding.
