Wiesel questions just like every person questions a little. He thought that God was good so life was good. Never shall I forget those moments which murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to dust. It is a young boy who is being hung and this is one of the real low points for Elie. Wiesel’s youth is leaving along with some of his security with God. You can tell he is still holding onto God at the end because he says that he will live as long as God himself will. So after denying his existence and slandering him, he then, at the end, recognizes his existence. ” His faith in God is being torn away just like the boy who is hanging in the gallows. Before these times Wiesel thought that God was everywhere and that God touched every part of his life.
