Growing Up
an event that has influenced the most was my parents' one-month long trip back to Hong Kong, my home country. In that month, I learned a lot of things. I realized how much my parents mean to me, and how hard it is to raise a child by taking care of myself. At the beginning of the month, I felt like I was a bird released from a cage; finally had freedom of my own. I could do things that my parents would definitely not allow me to do, such as playing video games from morning till midnight, without even eating, my parents would punish me if they find out. I sure was surprised and happy because I wanted parents to come back and I miss them badly. h the video games; I don't want to play it anymore, I had too much of it. In additional, I realized it is hard to raise a child through the way I take care of myself in this month. Because of that, it made me have the attempt to study, to do better in schooling. I understand that there is no way for me to survive with four hundred dollars a month at the moment I received the bills. I spent much more than four hundred dollars in that month. Therefore, I asked my uncle for more money. After that, I found out myself have changed; I have been better to them than before and I have less arguments with them after they came back. Unfortunately, the way of living in the real world is far away from the way I thought it is. And now, I always ask for more than what I want because there might be something that I haven't thought of. One day I went back home from school, I found out that my parents have come back home. Although I was bored in the house, I couldn't go out and hang out with my friends because once I go out, I have to spend money. I thought I had enough to use for the month because I had four hundred dollars in my saving account, and I don't spend that much of money on the normal days. I just don't realize how much money you spent when I am spending it.
