True Color: Life-Span Development Course

             I remember the first time I thought about what was my favorite and True color. It happened very early in my life, and then I couldn't have been more than 5 years old. I don't know exactly why but the answer came to me within few seconds and I recall replying to that friendly woman, who could have been Mom's girlfriend, that I really like the color Blue. Just before answering her on that spring day, I looked down as to consider it and in my head and that is when an imaginative "blue splash" came out and filled my imagination as if a balloon filled with blue paint had just burst before my eyes. From that point on Blue has been my favorite color. When I colored pictures I used a lot of blues and whenever I would compare favorite colors with my friends I wouldn't hesitate for a second to announce that Blue is the best. Maybe it was easier for me to decide upon one color and stick with it, instead of trying to go through a complex decision process and weigh out the advantages and disadvantages of all the colors to narrow on the best one, back then things were a lot simpler anyways.
             So in nature color blue evokes sky, water, sea, and air. From some books on advertising and design, I learned that it is also associated with ideas of the fantastic and with freedom, dreams, and youth. It is a calm, restful, transparent color that inspires peace, relaxation, and wisdom. Come to think of it I do believe myself to be a very peaceful person. I think that there are other much more effective ways to resolve disputes and differences than through fighting and that is probably why my boyfriend and I get along so well for more than a year. We will probably be getting married soon. Even though I must admit that this is more of a dream than a concrete plan and that's another resemblance between the color Blue and my personality.
