Huckleberry Finn
1. This book starts on the Mississippi River, where Huck is adopted by anelderly widow. As we start the journey, the widow is attempting to civilizeHuckleberry or Huck as he likes to be called. But Huck was too much of afree spirit to be tamed. As we go alone on Huck's journey, we find out howadventurous Huck really is. For instance, after his dad took him away fromthe widow, he faked his own death to get away from his dad. As he wasrunning away, he ran into Jim, the widow's slave. So they both decided torun down the Mississippi River to freedom. But as they were going down theriver, things didn't go as smoothly as they planned. First there was a familythat got killed in a feud. Then Jim and Huck took a couple crooks aboardtheir raft. As the journey winds to an end, Huck runs into his good oldfriend, Tom Sawyer. And since Jim was not free, Huck and Tom dreamt up aplan to free him. Although their plan didn't work, it all worked out in the
They won't let himfind his was home for ten years. And the south are theset backs in which Jim and Huck go through. As the book unwinds they each found how hardit was to accomplish the task they had undertaken. His struggle alone his journey is tobecome free. Every time they set foot onland they are held up, but as long as they stay on the river they are free. Because the duke and the king threatened Huckif he told anyone they were frauds, they would turn Jim in. "These uncles of yourn ain't no uncles at all - they're a couple of frauds- regular dead-beats. When he escaped from his dad and the widow hethought he was free until he ran into Jim. " This quote is an in sight to who Huck really is. About the things I say or do might affect other people's lives. Although he lies sometimes, he won't let a couple of low lifes take all themoney from a couple of trusting girls.
