Ethics
In this paper I will argue the point of whether homosexuality is ethically defensible. In this paper it will be that from my point of view homosexuality is not ethically defensible. If things are ethical in our world it is because our religion tells us so. Now I will state the viewpoints of the major world religions and the proof homosexuality is not ethically defensible.First is American Christian society. Most Christians do not seem to want to embrace the gay community, and do not even seem to be moving towards a more tolerant atmosphere. The church has a non - acceptance of homosexuals from church doctrine supported by the bible. The bible supports homosexuality as an abomination. "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman: it is an abomination." 1 "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination." 2 In the eyes of the church gayness is a choice, Therefore, an act against God and the churches ethical viewpoint.Second the Jewish viewpoint is very close to the Christian view.
With this it is a serious violation of Islamic law. " 4 The Jewish community has also sighted the Torah as condemning homosexuality helping to refine there view point it is unethical. After that God ordered Laut to take his family, except his wife, his followers away from the city. "There shall wait on them [the Muslim men] young boys of their own, as fair as virgin pearls. " 8I believe that the majority of the world gets there ethics from their religion, so the viewpoint of a religious group does matter. "We will not perform commitment ceremonies for gays and lesbians. Ethical norms should be determined by culture andthe people around you. Homosexuality is strictly prohibited in Islam. " 6Now to criticize my arguments I will point out other views than my own and how some believe homosexuality is ethical. Then God sent two angels to Hazrat Laut's house, in the form of two handsome men. In God's eyes homosexuality can not be ethically defensible. Islam teaches homosexuality is a violation of the will of Allah (God), and also that it is unnatural. "In the nation of Laut, the prophet of God, the people were gone too deep into homosexuality.
