Time travel
Is time travel possible, and will it be possible in the future? If you chose to travel through time, you could put together a spectacular itinerary. You could meet historical figures such as Buddha, Muhammad, or Moses. You could see what Cleopatra really looked like or attend Shakespeare's first production of Hamlet. You could participate in the last supper with Jesus. You could go and talk to Adam and Eve. The possibilities are unlimited. To first understand if time travel is possible there are a few theories that we must understand. The first will be Sir Isaac Newton's theory of gravity, and then we will look at Einstein's general theory of relativity. I will try and make this easy to understand without a lot of mathematical expressions."In 1687 Sir Isaac Newton published a book called Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy). According to some researchers this was the single most important work in the physical sciences."(Hawking 4) Newton put forth how bodies move in space and time. He came up with a law of universal gravitation, which showed how each body in the universe was attracted towards every other body. Depending on the mass of the bodies and how clos
This is just a paradox, but putting paradoxes aside is time travel theoretically possible? According to the strict rules of Relativity time travel cannot be ruled out, it just has not happened yet. Boston Houghton Mifflin Company, 2001 Hawking,Steven. There is no definitive answer to the question what is time, but some scientists say we live in a four dimensional world. Contemporary physics state that no object should be able to travel faster that the speed of light. e they were to each other the force could be stronger or weaker. Both the speed of light and time play a crucial role in time travel. He even claimed he had "empirical" evidence against it. " (What is Time? 2) "This states that bodies moving at high velocities experience a time that ticks slower than the time measured at zero velocity. General theory of relativity states that gravity, as well as motion can affect the intervals of time and space. "Interestingly enough, Steven Hawking once opposed the idea of time travel. A time machine would have to have an enormous amount of energy. Three dimensions of space and one dimension of time. 14 October 2002, 20 October 2002 http://www.
