Too Sexy or Not?
Entertainers nowadays are trying to sell more than just albums and merchandise. They are selling sex. They are telling young girls that it is okay to walk around half naked. Singers like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are going around flaunting their bodies in front of young girls and basically telling them that it is okay to dress like them. These singers also happen to sell more records and merchandise than singers like Mandy Moore and Jessica Simpson who just want to make music for a living. Jessica and Mandy are, in my opinion, far more talented than Britney and Christina.Ever since Britney Spears came out, girls and boys alike have been crazy about her. Why not? She is one of the most popular stars today. She's sold tons of albums and merchandise. But that's not what most people are noticing about her. They notice the way she dresses. She prances around on stage night after night half naked and lip-synching for most of the show. Like Britney, Christina's role model is also Madonna. Dancing on stage with just a bra on, coming to an awards show with a thong showing is just too much. It was outrageous; I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Britney came out on stage with a business suit and hat on, she looked decent. She was named by People Magazine as one of the worst dressed celebrities of 2000. She has a magnificent voice; she just doesn't dress all that magnificently. Singers these days have just gone too far with the way they dress. What did Britney say about this? "I just wanted to be all glittery and stuff.
