Anylazing the Bible on Homosexuality

29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
This verse refers to the abominations of sexual sin (such as having a sexual relationship with the same sex) Many people perceive this verse as life threatening. It's misperceived in thinking that if you participate in this, you will be killed, or eternally isolated by God. But the words cut off, refer to the word excommunication. To be excommunicated is to basically be set apart from the church. Having an attraction to the same sex, and being tempted to participate with people of the same sex is not a sin, but pursuing this temptation is; and when you do this you isolate yourself from the people and the activities of the church. But God does say he forgives, so it does not imply that you will be this way forever. That is all this verse implies.
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Leviticus is in the Old Testament. All of the penalty's listed in it, do not apply anymore b/c if was before Christ died for our sins. Now he has paid the penalty for us. The entire book of Hebrew tells us that. The "rules and debts" in the old testament are solely there to teach us the heart that God has, and how we can be more like him. So, pursuing gay acts is just like any other sin now. But before Jesus was crucified, yes the penalty would be death.
