All women in the novel have trouble with marriage. Pansy is a commodity in hands of her father. It sounds for me that Isabel had strength in her to marry for love, but she was mistaken. She will not do anything what her father will not approve. In her previous travels she met a man named Edward Rosier. Fortunate for Edward Rosier Pansy likes him a lot. Implying that he is opposed to Rosier marrying his daughter and that he considers Pansy as one of his possessions. n the beginning know only what happens in the house and do not worry about outside life.
At point where we will discus her as commodity she is nineteenth years old. As we can see they all stay in a choice of marrying for money or for love. Osmond’s only worry was how much money he can get for her.
