Industrial Revolution in Britain
Although Britain has changed over the years, one of the major period of changes, and in my opinion the most interesting took place between 1750 and 1900. It is of course the Industrial Revolution that I talk about. The Industrial Revolution were the developments that took place In the second half of the 18th century, in all areas of society. It was when the traditional agrarian aconomy was replaced by one centured around machinery and mass production. In this essay I will be scrutenizing the seven main factors which caused this magnificant period of change in Britain. These include population, changing jobs, transport, new ideas and individuals, expansion, the slave trade and the creation of the British Empire. For each section I will be accesing the advantages and disadvantages (the arguments) based on facts, evidence, and maybe opinion. At the end of the essay I intend to include a conclusion in which I will summarise the main changes and I will be stating which cause I think had the greatest impact on the Industrial Revolution. A defernition of population is the amount of people living in a place. This can be any place from towns, citys, or even countrys. The population of Britain increased dramatically
Children and adults were beaten very hard for minor injuries. Obviously more people means more poor people which is why this rose. From 1807 slavery could not take place and from 1833 you could not own slaves. Toilets were added in streets again to stop disease. The slaves on these journeys were treated in a shameful manner. New Ideas And Individuals The Industrial Revolution could not have happened without clever individuals who came up with ideas and inventions to make money. e rich or poor as the poor worked in much worse conditions than the rich. The colonies could only trade with Britain. Queen Victoria was head of all this land and had many titles. Expansion- (Slave Trade) Besides the British Empire, Britian also took part in the slave trade to become an even richer country. They were packed tightly into the bottom of the ship and could not move. Conclusion From looking at all of these facts through out the essay it is clear to see that Britain changed a tremendous amount during these 150 years. He was a stubborn man and always worked his workers to their full potential. People also though that by having an empire it would make Britain powerful over seas and that people in other countries would benefit being under British rule as they would learn about science and machines and become christians. I think this showed that ordinary people started having opinions and putting there views into action on things they believed were wrong.
