The band opened with one of their older hits called Too Much. Avery common opening song for the band for its upbeat tempo and lyrics, highlighted by Dave?s lyrics being echoed by the electric violin and the baritone saxophone. They followed this song with an unreleased work called Grey Street, another awesome upbeat piece that really got the crowd going. The culmination of this song is when in the final chorus the song builds up by increasing the volume and tempo and to Dave belting out the lyrics with all his might along with Boyd and Leroi playing furious riffs on the violin and saxophone respectively.
After having electrifying the crowd with these first two songs, the band next played a more mellow song called If I had it
. . .
Their next piece picked up the tempo greatly as it was a crowd pleasing older tune called So Much To Say. It?s an upbeat quick tempo piece that featured an incredible violin and sax solo?s by Boyd and Carter. Then Carter took over completely by himself and builds the tempo into a fast and furious drum trip which than culminates the end of the song and the concert. Before I could even have fully enjoyed the fact that they just played on of my favorite songs, Boyd held the final note on his violin for at least four measures as they went right into their next piece called Bartender. ? Each member of the band has their own solo?s at the end to make this a true jam as it goes on for almost thirteen minutes as it truly is a celebration of their musical talents. It once again features Dave on the electric and keeps an upbeat peppy pace throughout.
The band retreats off stage, but in typical fashion returns a few minutes later as the crowd waited patiently waving lighter?s and chanting Dave?s name. They took the stage to deafening applause to which Dave responded "You've been great to us, so we'll be good to you". It?s highlighted by a striking solo bass line intro that carries throughout the entire piece, acting as the backbone to which the rest of the song goes. Dave than begins to sing the lyrics about a fish with high hopes even though he is told he must stay in the sea. They played about a two minute intro with just Dave on the acoustic and Boyd plucking the violin before Carter comes booming in with some symbol crashes. It is another sweet piece that features Dave repeating a refrain on the electric of four or five notes accompanied by Boyd on the violin.
They next played a more mellow song called Crush. The best part comes when Dave reaches the point where he sings with all his might and passion if he was this fish, along with Leroi on the alto sax and Boyd now playing instead of plucking the same notes as he was before.
