This paper is about Islams; Founder(s), Basic Beliefs, leaders/practitioners, and how Islam illustrates the ideals of Eastern philosophy. It will also include a comparison of Islam to Hinduism. Islam was founded by Muhammad. Muhammad was Islams Prophet, Ruler, and Commander in chief. He was a native son of the Arabian Peninsula. Muhammad was the prophet who preached the word of Allah to the people of Islam. He became a prophet at the age of Forty, when God sent the angel Gabriel to him, and everything was put into the Quran. *. Muhammad was to deliver the message to all his people and set an example for how each human being should live their Islam has many places that are sacred to the Muslims, but only three will be mentioned. The most sacred place for Muslims is the Ka'bah sanctuary at Mecca. The Ka'bah is believed to be the place where the heavenly blissful power touched the earth directly. According to Muslim tradition the Ka'bah was built by Abraham (also a prophet). The prophets' mosque in Medina is the next in sanctity. There is also a sixth religious duty associated with the Five Pillars of Faith which is Jihad, or Holy War. There are also The Five Pillars of Faith, which are: 1. If they are killed in this war, they are guaranteed eternal life in Paradise. ) Scripture- There are four inspired books, The Torah of Moses, The Psalms (zabin) of David, the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Injil) and the Quran. nd some of his close Companions are buried there. The rock marks the site where Muhammad made his "Night Journey" into the heavens and back to Mecca. Muslims have Five Articles of Faith, which are: 1. Those who follow will go to Islamic heaven and those who don't will go to Hell. This is the place where the Prophet Muhammad ascended into Heaven after his death. There is no Priesthood and are no sacraments.
