“What’s So Amazing about Grace?” was written by Phillip Yancy and is about God’s love for mankind through grace. Yancy starts off by telling the story of a homeless prostitute who is extremely poor and is even unable to buy clothes for her two year old daughter. Things got so bad for this woman that she went so far as to rent out her own daughter to men interested in kinky sex. She stated that she made more money renting out her daughter for an hour than she could on her own in a single night. She went on to say that she did this in an attempt to support her drug habit.

Another of my favorite stories, being a sports oriented guy, is the March Madness story. The second is a brief look at how Christians through history have been perpetrators of grace, even under incredible persecution. This theory states that people become what the most important person in their life thinks of them. It is kind of sad but powerful nonetheless.
Two of the most powerful stories, in my opinion, are as follows.
Later in the book Yancy goes on to tell the story of how the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous visited Dr. I found this to be very thought provoking as it can be related to a number of topics for discussion. ws this story by making an illustration about how people in similar situations, during Jesus’ time, went to Him for refuge. He saw how one moment the kid was in complete fear of losing the game, but after making both of the free throws the kid was in complete grace with himself.
