Conspiracy has been the ultimate escape from the cold realities of the truth. Today, I plan on revealing the secrets to some of the biggest controversies ever known, while the final decision, is still dependant on you. Conspiracy: an agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act. Paranoia: extreme, irrational distrust of others. These two definitions should help you throughout this paper when deciphering for yourself whether it's a real conspiracy or just paranoia. Sometimes when you are left with a decision, no matter how rational of a person you think you are, you will most likely side with the theory that is most complicated and distrusting of the United States' government.
             Area 51, is a "secret military facility" about 45 miles north of Las Vegas. This site has been under controversy since the mid 1950's. The number 51 refers to a 6-by-10-mile block of land, at the center of which is a large air base the government does not publicly acknowledge. Area 51 is not actually a top secret military facility, nor an underground base, it is actually a very public air force base known to many as Nellis AFB. Once every year, one of the largest airshows in the world is also held here. Although the government facility located at the center is a common testing ground for "black-budget" aircrafts before they are introduced to the public. Area 51 was the site selected in the mid 1950's to test the U-2 spyplane, and more recently for the testing of the F-117A Stealth Fighter, the B-2 Bomber, the F-22 Raptor, and now the new aurora project. As many long discussions between groups of people unfold, you can see where many peoples theories, are entirely made up. Area 51 has long been rich in UFO lore.
