So as it is seen through the movie, Lester has a midlife crisis and is on bad terms with his wife. He as always wanted that car since he was younger, now he has it because he quit his other job, which through his eyes was boring. Lester then starts to work out because of his daughter’s teenage friend thinks that he is hot. It is shown by when the family sits down for dinner no one; absolutely no one says anything at the table. She is very satisfied with him, it is shown ion the movie when they are at the hotel having sex, and she is all into it calling him “King”. All these events lead up to how he feels that he is not needed and by doing what he does through out the film shows that he has a different life. He just wants to go back being a kid flipping burgers. Lester now has something to look forward to again in life.
