Robert Frost’s “Nothing Gold Can Stay” is an excellent example of symbolism and fully illustrates Frost’s vast poetic writing style. From that point on, Robert Frost made a name for himself. In 1894, The Independent, a New York literary journal, bought a collection of his works entitled “My Butterfly: An Elegy. family moved out of California and headed to Massachusetts. In 1912, Frost decides to put in all his money and proceeds from a farm that he sold to move his family to England so he could saturate himself in his writing. ” Shortly after, Frost married Elinor White who attended Lawrence High school with him. Soon enough though, Frost’s situations were making a turn for the best. After returning back home to Massachusetts, Robert Frost taught at a local high school, worked in a mill and as a newspaper reporter. Frost then again began to further his education by attending Harvard University for two years from 1897 to 1899, but once again, he left school without a degree. In Massachusetts, Frost graduated with valedictorian honors from Lawrence High School. Unfortunately, Frost had some misfortunes and only remained at Dartmouth for less then one semester. After his graduation from high school, Frost entered Dartmouth College. Of all of Robert Frost’s books, it is his collection of poetry in “New Hampshire” that won him a Pulitzer Prize in 1924. “New Hampshire” is Robert Frost’s debut of his poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay” (Academic American Encyclopedia).
