Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858 in New York City. His father was a prosperous glassware merchant and was one of the wealthy old knickerbocker class families. Theodore was also a deputy sheriff in the Dakota Territory, Police Commissioner of New York City, U. He was so distraught that he left for his ranch in the Badlands of Dakota Territory. He took the view that the President as a "steward of the people"should take whatever action necessary for the public good unless expressly forbidden by law or the Constitution. During the Spanish-American War, Roosevelt was a lieutenant colonel of the Rough Rider Regiment, which led a charge at the Battle of San Juan. His mother died of typhoid fever and his wife died of Bright's disease, two days after giving birth to a daughter. Theodore Roosevelt had many accomplishments over the years.
