Abortion Pro and Cons
One of the most important issues in the world is the controversy surrounding abortion. Do you think abortion is right? Many people have been asking themselves this same question for years now. Abortion has been a heated argument amongst citizens, political activists, and religions all across the world. Those who are against abortion (pro-life), argue that abortion is wrong because it kills human life. On the other hand we have people who favor abortion (pro-choice). They believe women are able to do as they wish with their bodies. About forty percent of Americans believe that abortion should be legal. Forty percent believe abortion should be banned except when the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother or is the result of a rape (Cozic, Petriken 97). Although abortion is considered to be a women right, it should be illegal because it is murder, has many side effects, and there are other alternatives. The main argument of pro-life is that abortion is wrong because you are killing a human being. As soon as that egg is fertilized a human child begins to develop. At eighteen days the heart is pumping through a closed circulatory system, with blood that is different from the mothers. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the 3 state wherein they reside. They feel sadness, wishing things could have been different and grief for a lost life. This all happens as soon as the conception begins. Abortion is just a lame excuse for murder. Electroencephalograms have demonstrated responsiveness of the human fetus to pain, touch, and sound (Cozic, Petriken 154). They feel as if they would 2not be able to succeed in life with a child in their way. At forty days the brain begins to function. There are many couples in the world that want a child, and the only way for them to do so is by adoption. We all have to thank god for being born. We all begin as fetuses and ended up being born. The definition is that a human being is growing, developing, maturing, and replacing its own dying cell. The right to choose to have an abortion is so personal and essential to women lives that without that right women cannot exercise other fundamental rights and liberties guaranteed be the constitution (William 146). Under the fourteen amendment "personal liberty", women are given the right to receive an abortion.
