Maintance and Motivation

Throughout a company’s time span, companies often find themselves trying to coach employees to accomplish a certain task (Rosner 1998). In otherwords, the company wants to motivate the employee to accomplish more. The company may need to retune its internal, external, or both components to operate efficiently and effectively. However, a major factor to any company is motivating its employees. Some employers want to maintain high motivation within the company so there is a high output of productivity. There are many ways in motivating people, but people are motivated by caring, empathy, and the giving and receiving of regards to accomplishments (Cory 1999). They are also motivated by Maslow’s Hierarchy of psychological needs because employees must have the basics, such as proper working conditions, security, and working status, in order to operate properly.

People are willing to work for people who care about their needs and emotions. However, motivation is a complex function for any company or business. The challenging work helped me accomplish the work, but I also learned a lot about what I was doing and the software to complete the task, which gave me a feeling of personal accomplishment (factor two).
