This information is called Crombie and tells the opening manager what needs to be done for the day (marketing, redlines, etc.).
             David Abercrombie started Abercrombie & Fitch in 1892 and the company was named appropriately David T. Abercrombie Co. The store was located on the waterfront in downtown New York City and was both a shop and factory. David Abercrombie was born in Maryland and raised in Baltimore. He was ingenious in designing various camping equipment and tents, inevitably an inventor. Love of the outdoors was his inspiration for the company, which was dedicated to selling camping, fishing, and hunting gear of only the highest -quality. Professional trappers, hunters, and explorers frequented the store. This included a man named Ezra Fitch.
             Ezra Fitch had become one of David Abercrombie's most loyal customers since he spent much of his time fishing and hunting. Abercrombie's store was the place he came to while searching for the best outdoor gear. His life as a lawyer in New York became boring to him and he was searching for something that made him less restless.
             In 1900 he convinced David Abercrombie to let him become a partner and buy into the business. In 1904 Abercrombie Co. became Abercrombie & Fitch now a corporation and was moved to 314 Broadway. Sooner or later all good things must come to an end, and the partnership fizzled. The future of the business had become the source of long running arguments. Abercrombie wanting to continue on in the same tradition and Fitch on the other hand had a larger vision.
